Ramsey to travel (!) to Australia

Ladies and Gentlemen, Australian and NZ friends and colleagues,

I will consult for food….well, actually for money, but I promise to use the money to buy food! Assuming declining covid and open borders, I will be coming to Australia for a long visit, June 1 to July 15. I already have a plane ticket.

The primary purpose is to attend the IGS Australasian chapters conference event, GeoANZ #1 (link https://www.acigs.org/events/geoanz-1-advances-geosynthetics), in Brisbane June 7-9th, I would encourage you to attend. But in addition to that I offer geomembrane and geosynthetics expertise on a more specific basis. I am available for educational presentations, updates on the latest activities in geosynthetics and site visits. I can help you solve and understand your geosynthetic issues and problems.

Boyd Ramsey to host Australian Geomembrane seminars in March

ACIGS and Boyd Ramsey are pleased to announce two days of lectures focused on geomembranes. The event is held in Melbourne & Brisbane, with Boyd Ramsey as the keynote lecturer and host with other speakers and sponsor presentations. The dates are March 16/17 and 19/20 respectively. The topics will include information for the new or occasional user on day one and more detailed and product specific topics on the second day. Boyd Ramsey attends ASTM, Polyethylene Films-AMI and Geosynthetics 2019 conferences

In January and February of 2019 Boyd attended three industry events in the United States. The winter meeting of ASTM D-35 was held in Houston. The annual AMI conference on Polyethylene Films was held at the Marriott Fort Lauderdale, FL Hotel and convention center and the IFAI/GMA sponsored Geosynthetics 2019 event was held in Houston at the Marriott Marquis convention center. All three events were well attended and presented advances and market information on geomembrane and polyethylene materials and usage. In Houston Boyd appeared in a panel discussion on geocomposite testing frequency, attended multiple IGS and GMA breakout meetings and Chaired a session on environmental geotechnics. In addition, I was able to reconnect with several longstanding colleagues, pictured here.

Boyd Ramsey delivers Geomembrane Market size presentation in Dusseldorf

Ramsey presents new paper at GeoAfrica in Morocco

In addition to the IGS Council meeting and other activities in Morocco, Boyd Ramsey gave a presentation on his most recent paper: Geomembrane selection: recommendations for today’s products. The conference was very successful with over 400 attendees and a fairly even split between international and local participants. Read more
